Located at 99 Calle Comte Borrell, 6 blocks from Casa Batlló, the Terranova Bookshop is a cultural oasis in the heart of Barcelona. Opened by Lucía Boned and Luis Cerveró in October 2021, this architectural gem revives the splendour of a former 19th-century Modernista shoe shop, preserving its original windows and shelves. The bookshop stands out for its focus on art books, offering a carefully chosen selection of national and international works, some of which are genuine curiosities not found even in museum bookshops.

Terranova : Bookshop and art gallery

Terranova transcends the traditional idea of a bookshop by integrating a small art gallery into its premises - the window on the left as you enter - dedicated to exhibiting works by local artists and craftspeople, ranging from sculptures to ceramics and furniture, in a space of just one square metre. This commitment to local creativity allows visitors to discover and appreciate emerging talent in an intimate, personalised format. Terranova also organises monographic exhibitions and presentations of limited edition artists' books and prints. This approach has transformed Terranova not just into a retail outlet, but into a true cultural meeting place, showcasing projects such as José Quintanar's 'Dutch Landscape 13', which explores the intersection between comics, artists' books, hand-drawing and architecture.

With its unique combination of bookshop, art gallery and exhibition space, Terranova is a bastion of culture in Barcelona. It invites you to lose yourself between its shelves, discover unique works and take part in its vibrant calendar of cultural events. Without doubt, a must for those in search of inspiration and beauty.

T2 No smoking and no other food shops
Really not happy with this airport. Travel assisstance takes forever to get to you, language barriers and you're not advised of any area restrictions or limitations before during or after security. Security rush you through with"""rapidos"" which honestly made me want to cry with all the attention while struggling with a toddler in pushchair and autistic elder child . To find out then travel assistance don't stay with you, they leave and come back just before boarding if they bother to. Can't smoke or buy any other food other than sandwiches which where spotted with black bits?? Cant smoke after security. the last leg of our holiday and its been shite
