    Zoo de Barcelona

The zoo in Barcelona is located in the city park. Ranked among the top zoos in Spain, has open enclosures, allowing you to almost touch the animals. There is a infant zoo where children can be introduced to various animals.
A train runs round the park or you can hire an electric buggy if you wish. As well as a wide selection of animals and birds, the zoo offers special displays of reptiles such as iguanas and chameleons. The zoo was founded in 1892 and is one of the oldest and most modern in the world. The zoo prides itself on its humane facilities and habitats for the wild animals. The dolphins appear to be very content and love to perform at the glass windows of the pool. There are also regular displays in the indoor aquarium where members of the audience are invited to interact with the dolphins. Expect to get wet if you sit at the front.

Barcelona zoo is a great one. The children loved it, we did so.

  2. Snowflake The Albino Gorilla - Nick Billington (25 Apr 2012 - 20:30)

I remember in 2003 when I was 10 years old seeing snowflake. He was towards the end of his life, however he was the biggest attraction of the zoo. I remember him having a crap and then eating it. Kinda groce that I know.

If only he could be alive today, it would still be the highlight of going to Barcelona Zoo...!!

  4. This zoo is a shame - Julia (13 May 2011 - 11:15)

please don't go there and join this group to ask the catalan govenment to give some money to make a zoo where animals can actually live, a zoo we don't need to be ashamed off.

Great zoo btw... how many animals do they have there?
