Barcelona's cocktail bars stand out again this year in the new “THE WORLD'S 50 BEST BARS 2024” ranking. Two of them feature in the world's top 10:

Sips No. 3 Barcelona's Sips bar was crowned best bar in Europe and third best bar in the world in “The World's 50 Best Bars 2024”. The bar had already won first place in 2023.

Paradiso is No. 10 Another Barcelona coctelería, Paradiso, came 10th in this prestigious ranking. The world's best bar for 2024 is Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City.

We told you about Paradiso and Two Schmucks among our favourite bars in Barcelona. In 2022, Sips joined them in the World's 50 Best Bars ranking. A 37th place honours once again Barcelona which knows how to make cocktails.

 

Here they pride themselves on making "haute couture" cocktails at ready-to-wear prices. An ungainly formula but real know-how for inventive and visually beautiful cocktails.

All the great classics are on the menu, but one is quickly attracted by "Primordial" served in a hand-shaped cup, by "Kripta" based on Kiwi, gin and Armagnac or by "Pera, pera, pera" based on pear in three different extractions: fermented, distilled, in juice and syrup.

 

Sip after sip, the night is definitely beautiful in this city!

Bus travel
The ordinary bus from the airport to Plaza Espania was only 2 euros when I went last year. Bargain!

Hello John, Yes, you can board the Aerobus A2 at Plaça Universitat before it reaches Plaça Catalunya to head to the airport. The Aerobus service (line A2) is specifically designed to connect the city center with Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) efficiently. At Plaça Universitat, there is a designated Aerobus stop, so you can get on the bus there. Just make sure you are at the correct stop for the A2 line if you're heading to Terminal 2. Hello alan, The closest Aerobús stop to Barcelona’s cruise port is Plaça Espanya. From there: Take the green metro line (L3) toward "Zona Universitària" and get off at Drassanes (two stops). Walk about 15 minutes to the World Trade Center (WTC). At the WTC, you’ll find a shuttle called the Cruise Bus that runs directly to the cruise terminals. The cost is approximately €4.50 round-trip.
