I was highly impressed with my recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona. The staff were incredibly accommodating during our 4-night stay from Saturday to Wednesday. After arriving from the UK at 2200, we were grateful to find a metro station conveniently located next to the hotel. We were able to take the metro from the airport straight to the hotel. Check-in was a breeze, although there was a €35 euro hotel tax that needed to be paid. I had booked this trip through a travel website and was pleasantly surprised to find that breakfast and flights were included for a total of £555. It also happened to be my birthday during our stay and I had previously mentioned this to the hotel. They kindly upgraded us to a larger room with a balcony on the 5th floor as a complimentary gesture. This unexpected treat truly made our stay even more enjoyable. On the day of my birthday, a personalized card was left on the bed for me, along with other lovely touches that made me feel special. The rooftop terrace, bar, and pool on the 6th floor were also impressive, although the weather was too chilly to take a dip. The breakfast buffet was a do-it-yourself style with a variety of tasty food options. Our room was well-stocked with robes, toiletries, and a decently sized fridge. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again. The location was perfect, with a great selection of bars nearby and a 5-minute walk to La Rambla and the shopping area. We even took a leisurely walk to Port Vell and the Gothic Quarter. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.
During our recent 6-night stay at a hotel in Barcelona, we were disappointed to find that their advertised soundproof rooms were far from actuality. Despite our hopes to get a good night's sleep, we were constantly disturbed by outside noise, hallway commotion, and even a loud sink located behind our headboard in the neighboring room. Our attempts to seek compensation were met with refusal, showcasing a lack of care for their customers. The manager went as far as calling me a liar, despite providing video evidence of these issues. To top it off, our room was not even accurately labeled on the map, with ours being the one with a bathtub. Needless to say, our experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory.
My recent stay at a centrally located hotel in Barcelona was pleasant. The Primark/Las Ramblas area and Casa Batllo were only a 5-minute walk away, and the beach was also easily accessible on foot. The areobus from the airport is a convenient option for transportation, stopping only a 5-minute walk from the hotel in Catalunya square. The hotel had a nice reception area and the added luxury touches, such as lights, robes, and bathroom details, were impressive. However, some aspects of the hotel, such as the bedroom furniture and corridor walls, were a bit worn out. The view from my room on the 4th floor was hindered by a close wall, making the room appear dark. Nonetheless, the bathroom was nice, with heavy robes and the best slippers I've ever had at a hotel. We did encounter some mini ants in our room, possibly attracted by the minty toothpaste, but it didn't affect our stay. The reception staff were friendly, though we didn't have much interaction. I did find the public disabled bathroom better than the women's toilets, but the toilet seat in the former was in need of replacement. The rooftop pool was small and not suitable for use in the winter. The bed was comfortable but low, and the black out curtains did a great job of keeping the room dark in the morning. I did miss having a plug socket near the full-length mirror for straightening my hair. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location and may consider staying here again in the future.
During my stay at the Hotel Midmost by Majestic Hotel Group in Barcelona, I was pleased to encounter a warm and courteous staff. The hotel's central location was also a major plus, making it easy for me to explore the city. The room itself was solid and the rain shower was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was strong, which was important for me as a traveler. However, I have to mention that the pillows were not great. Additionally, the surrounding area was a bit loud, but it has definitely improved since my last visit. Overall, I would say that the hotel is pretty good.
This hotel exceeded our expectations with its prime location near all the shops and restaurants. The rooftop had a great atmosphere and served delicious cocktails. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were immaculate and had all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Barcelona.
