In general, our experience at the hotel was quite impressive. The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and amiability, with special mention to a lady named Anton. The food and drinks offered were of excellent quality. The room rates were also very reasonable considering the amenities provided. The complimentary breakfast was delightful, although we did observe some guests using utensils designated for vegetarian options on the meats, and vice versa. While we understand this is not the hotel's responsibility, it might be helpful to have separate serving utensils for each type of food to avoid confusion. The room itself was spacious, featuring a cozy bed and ample storage space. The only drawback was the occasional smell of smoke in the evenings. We are not sure if this was due to guests smoking on the terrace (which we appreciated was allowed) or if it was coming from the air conditioning, but it would be beneficial if this could be addressed. Overall, we would definitely consider staying here again if the issue with smoke was resolved.
During our trip to Barcelona to celebrate our 20th anniversary, my partner and I decided to stay in a luxurious hotel. However, we were disappointed to find previous guest's medications in one of the clothing drawers, as well as a considerable amount of dust in the room. The shower door also had trouble staying closed, and we had to use a towel to keep it shut. Additionally, the towel rack in the shower was rusted at the bottom. As we were expecting a 5-star experience, these issues were a letdown. On a positive note, the staff were pleasant and we felt safe with the security measures, such as needing a room key for access to the elevator. Overall, our stay in the superior room with a terrace was satisfactory.
I would highly recommend this hotel in Barcelona. During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing a variety of rooms, including a Superior with Terrace, a Superior Deluxe, and a Small with Terrace. Each room was delightful and the amenities provided were particularly impressive. The staff at this hotel were truly exceptional, always displaying graciousness, attentiveness, and helpfulness. Even after I had departed, they willingly assisted me with insurance paperwork for a missing passport and delayed trip. The restaurant staff were equally courteous, and the food was excellent. I would not hesitate to make a return visit to this charming boutique hotel.
Hotel Casa Sagnier was perfect for our stay in Barcelona.
This attractive building had great location and nice furnishings in the decent sized rooms. The staff was great and the breakfast was excellent. They had helpful suggestions and spoke English. Although it was close to everything, it was not in the middle of it all. The hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Barcelona.
Without doubt, staying here was truly a luxurious experience. From the fantastic location, to the cozy and top-notch lodgings, the delicious breakfasts and most of all, the exceptional helpfulness in setting up pickups, guides, tickets to Sagrada Famila, booking tables and much more. We wouldn't hesitate to suggest this accommodation to anybody visiting this stunning city. We look forward to coming back.
