My stay was completely ruined by the sudden and unexpected cancellation of my reservation, just 6 hours before check-in. The reason given by the hotel was that they were dealing with an insect issue, but the booking platform informed me that it was actually due to overbooking. This left me without a place to stay in a foreign country, all for the sake of their own profit. It's disappointing that they didn't consider the impact of their actions and had no shame in lying about the situation.
We had a enjoyable stay at this hotel, arriving early in the morning after taking the airport bus and a taxi. The room was surprisingly ready and we were greeted by a charming and efficient staff member named Alex. The room itself was a bit dated with peeling wallpaper and an uncomfortable bed, but the shower was good and towels were nice. Unfortunately, there were no tea making facilities in the room and the hair dryer barely worked. Despite this, the location was convenient and the staff were friendly. It served its purpose as a place to sleep for the night. Our holiday was slightly marred by an incident at the airport where we were mugged. While waiting for our check-in time, we stopped for coffee and were distracted by some individuals. It wasn't until my husband noticed someone with the same bag as his, that he realized it was missing. Luckily, we were able to retrieve the bag but it could have ended much worse. Just a warning to other travelers.
My recent trip to Barcelona included a two night stay at a hotel in the city. While the accommodations were satisfactory, they were not anything out of the ordinary. The room was basic, the bed was comfortable, and the TV was quite small. The bathroom was decent enough. However, the best thing about this hotel was its convenient location, just a block away from the Cathedral. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but with the abundance of hotels in the area, I would probably choose a different one next time.
The accommodations were satisfactory, although not up to standard in terms of cleanliness. We found a shirt left behind on the wardrobe floor, indicating that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. However, the most unpleasant aspect of our stay was the receptionist. Her behavior was extremely rude and unpleasant, one of the worst I have ever encountered. She was unhelpful and attempted to shift blame onto us for her own mistakes. Her rude demeanor has ensured that we will not be returning to this establishment in the future.
This hotel was a great value for the money and served as a perfect base for our stay. The rooms were well-maintained and equipped with a fridge, kettle, and tea and coffee supplies. The breakfast spread was impressive, with plenty of hot and cold options that kept us satisfied well into the afternoon. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others due to its affordable price and convenient location.
