Alarming accommodations with zero degree of service! If you are carrying suitcases, keep in mind that you won't be able to avoid climbing up at least 20 steps! The images do not reflect reality as there is no balcony! The bed sheets and towels look like they have been used for an eternity before you arrived! No stamps with the check-in, just a sheet of paper!
I recently stayed at the Hotel Everest which is located near the San Pau metro station. It's only one stop away from the famous Sagrada Familia, so the location was great for me! The room was surprisingly clean with a balcony which was great for getting some fresh air. I really liked how there were plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel, so it was very convenient for getting food and souvenirs. The receptionist was really friendly which made my stay even more enjoyable. A great thing about the hotel is that you can leave your bags there after you checkout, so you don't have to worry about carrying them around the city. Overall, I had a great stay at Hotel Everest.
I recently stayed at Hotel Everest, and I have to say it was not a pleasant experience. The lift was very small, so it was uncomfortable for three people, even with luggage. The staff, with one exception at night, seemed lacklustre at best and often rude. The rooms weren't cleaned to a very good standard and I was unlucky enough to suffer bed bites during my stay. The towels were stained, and the pictures posted on their website did not accurately reflect the standard of the hotel. I have stayed in Barcelona several times in the past, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly not be returning.
My stay at Hotel Everest was a disappointment. I had booked a double room with my girlfriend but upon arrival I was given a twin room. When I asked the staff to change it, they refused, claiming that there were no double rooms available. On top of that, the room was infested with ants and other insects. It was awful. I certainly do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
