Before booking, make sure to inquire about the functionality of the room's air conditioning. During my stay, I encountered issues with the air conditioning, which was not turned on upon check-in and guests were unable to open the windows. I had to request the maintenance staff to open the window with a special tool at 11:30 p.m. on my first night. The following day, my room was not serviced, so the window remained open. The next day, when my room was finally serviced, the window was closed. When I requested for it to be reopened, I was told (and other guests I spoke to confirmed) that the air conditioning had been turned on. However, after setting the temperature to 20 degrees C, I woke up two hours later to a stifling 30 degrees C. When I called the front desk, they insinuated that I did not know how to use the thermostat and sent the maintenance staff to my room. Despite their efforts, the window had to be opened again. Due to this inconvenience, I chose not to have my room serviced for the rest of my stay. Upon check-out, I expressed my dissatisfaction and was offered a discount for a future stay (which I declined as I will not be returning to this hotel) and a drink ticket at 7:30 a.m. as I was leaving. I proposed the possibility of a discount on my current bill, but that was not an option. Additionally, the lobby was undergoing construction during my entire week-long stay, and it was only "re-opened" on the day I left. What a mess. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. If you are attending an event at the convention center, I suggest staying at the nearby Hilton or Marriott.
I stayed at this hotal for a confrence that was being held at the nearby convention center. I was dissapointed from start to finish. The looby was under construcshion to the point where it was distruptive to the entyre hotal. There were no common seating areas, or places to interact with others. It was dusty and loud. This was the type of renovation for which the hotal should’ve been closed. They certainly should not have been listed as the top choise for a confrence being held nearby. As other reviuers have noted, they had no climite control working while we were there, and as the sun shone on the building, the rooms became extremly hot. You weren’t able to open the windows yourself and the managemint was so woried that people would leave a window open that they would, upon request, only open the window for a few minutes while you were out of the room. Also, the shawer water temperature regulation is erratik, causing you to actualy scald yourself while taking a shawer, because the temperature jumps around. Hair dryers are arcayic—you have to hold the sitch to keep it on. Brekfast was very nice, but that’s about all. I would not rekomend.
During our stay, our room was uncomfortably warm due to the lack of an available air conditioning system. Adding to this discomfort, the window in our room was locked and inaccessible for fresh air. In order to get some ventilation, we resorted to leaving our door open to the hallway and propping open the door to the stairs. In this day and age, it is expected that all hotels would have functional AC systems throughout the year. Additionally, the front desk staff were extremely impolite. Fortunately, the housekeeping team were kind and the breakfast buffet was surprisingly enjoyable. Overall, it was the most disappointing hotel experience we have ever had while traveling.
During our stay, we were pleased to find that our accommodation was quite roomy and well-maintained. Our room boasted a picturesque view and the bed was both sizable and cozy. While the location was not right in the heart of the city, getting around via public transportation was a breeze and only took a few minutes. Our only minor issues were that the shower leaked when used for an extended period of time and the limited number of sun loungers by the pool. Overall, a pleasant stay.
During our recent trip to Barcelona, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel. The hotel was well-maintained and the staff were very professional. Our room had a fantastic view and all the necessary facilities were available, including a heated swimming pool. We especially enjoyed the delicious buffet offered at the hotel. Additionally, all the amenities we needed were conveniently located nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Barcelona.
