The hotel's location was simply amazing, with the tube or metro station just two blocks away. There was also a fantastic shopping mall within a 12-minute walk. The breakfast was top-notch, with a five-star rating. The room was clean and a decent size, and fresh towels were provided every day. The staff was pleasant and professional, and they were always on point. The bar served great ice-cold beer. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.
During our short stay, my partner and I forgot to pack our phone charger which was plugged into the wall. Unfortunately, when we called the next day it had mysteriously vanished. We were disappointed with the incident and it has left a negative impression on our stay. While the hotel itself was comfortable, we found it to be quite pricey and the breakfast did not meet our expectations. We would not choose to stay at this accommodation again, especially when there are numerous fantastic breakfast spots just a few steps away.
Our recent 4-day stay at this hotel was overall satisfactory, with its prime location being its highlight. Just a short walk to the Sagrada Familia and with a nearby metro stop, transportation was convenient. There was also easy access to taxis. However, the room itself was dated, lacking any character with its boring color scheme of browns and creams. We were disappointed to find no tea or coffee facilities in the room and opted out of the expensive breakfast option, as we found a cheaper deal just across the street. Our biggest issue was with the cleaning staff, whose excessive noise woke us up three times. It seemed as though they were purposely trying to disturb us with their loud banging and moving of furniture. This lack of consideration for guests' comfort is unacceptable. I have noticed similar complaints about the cleaning staff, and I highly doubt all of these guests are mistaken. That being said, the other staff members were pleasant, especially the helpful man at reception who even gave us recommendations on where to go and what to avoid. The bartenders were also very kind. However, there were a couple of men at night who seemed uninterested in assisting anyone and were even heard arguing with each other. Overall, while we were satisfied with some aspects of our stay, we would not choose to return given the lack of respect and consideration for guests' comfort, which is what one expects when traveling. This seems to be a common sentiment among other guests' reviews as well.
Arrived earlier than expected and got a double bed instead of twin as requested in earlier email. After some rearranging, we got a twin room. It was cozy with beds pushed together, but we managed. The room was a bit stuffy with no AC until later in April. Had basic amenities like a desk, chair, luggage stand, and a safe in the double wardrobe. The room had a small balcony with a table and chairs, and a decent-sized bathroom with shower over the bath, vanity unit, and triple mirror. No ventilation, so it got steamy, but the shower was great. Just be cautious when getting out as the shower door is a bit short. Complimentary toiletries, including shower gel, shampoo, soap, tissues, and even a shoe horn. Towels were fresh and of decent size. The beds were comfortable with crisp, clean linen. Expect some noise from the bustling streets, but that's expected in this lively city. Trash bins get emptied late at night, and it can be noisy. The hotel is conveniently located between two metro stations, Encants and Clot. We didn't want housekeeping every day, but even with the "do not disturb" sign on, they still entered. We had to speak to reception about it, but it still happened. Overall, we would recommend this hotel. The standard room doesn't have a kettle, but we got our morning coffee fix from a charming cafe across the street called The Catalan Sandwich.
I had a fantastic experience at the Catalonia Sagrada Familia Hotel in Barcelona. The room was generously sized and incredibly comfortable. The location couldn't have been better and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Every member of the staff was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to assist us. The service was truly excellent and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again in the future.
