Staying at this hotel near the train station was a practical choice, however it is quite far from the popular tourist spots such as La Rambla central boulevard and Sagrada Familia. The nearby neighborhood does offer easy access to subways and buses, and the lively Carrer de Sants street is lined with shops, cafes, and a mercado (Mercado de Hostafrancs). The room was clean, but I was surprised to find that the bath and toilet were both inside closets and the sink was part of the bedroom. As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I was disappointed to not receive a complimentary breakfast option. Although the reception staff did their best to explain their policy, it was still a letdown.
The accommodations were quite basic and may disappoint those who are attracted to this hotel for its affiliation with a well-known brand. As a member of the hotel group, I found this to be one of the most disappointing stays I have experienced. The bathroom was dimly lit, especially the shower area, which could make for a unique showering experience in the dark. The room was also quite noisy, likely due to the sound of flushing pipes from other rooms or floors, which was unsettling for a solo traveler. Unfortunately, there was no fancy coffee machine or even a kettle available for guests who wanted to enjoy a hot beverage in their room. The selection of TV channels was also limited, with a focus on local options rather than international programming. To top it off, I received a phone call reminding me to check out precisely at 12:07 pm, despite being a member and expecting to have a late check-out time. Luckily, the one redeeming quality was the breakfast and restaurant on the ground floor, which earned an additional star in my rating. As much as I love Barcelona, I will not be returning to this particular hotel for my next visit.
This hotel located in Barcelona was situated directly at the harbor, making it convenient for business travelers. Although the room was not very spacious, it was adequate. However, there was quite a bit of noise which made it difficult to relax. Additionally, the towels provided were not fresh and had a dirty smell after every change. The TV program selection was also lacking. Breakfast was decent, but could have been more varied. Overall, the location was good. Considering the quality of the hotel, I would opt for a different accommodation next time as it was overly expensive.

The location of this hotel 🔝 was perfect, right across from the train station. However, be sure to find the correct exit from the station 🚪 and don't rely on Google Maps🗺️. Instead, ask the friendly train station staff for directions to the hotel 🚂. They will point you in the right direction, and you may even see it from the exit door! 💡 The hotel is also conveniently located near the Metro and taxi stands, making it easy to get around the city 🚇🚕. Another great aspect was the English-speaking staff 👍, which can be hard to come by in Spain. But overall, the hotel lacked some personality and charm 😔. The atmosphere was a bit cold and lifeless, unlike the lively streets of Barcelona during our September stay 🎉. We ended up finding a more vibrant hotel to watch the National Day of Catalunya celebrations and fireworks 🎆. This hotel may be suitable for business trips, but it may not be the best choice for a fun-filled holiday 🤷♀️. Still, it was a decent stay overall 🔆.
Came from Madrid by fast train Ouigo to Barcelona, arrived at the train station, this hotel was very close to walk from station, couple of blocks away. Everything in Barcelona is compact compared to USA standards. The room was small but had everything that I needed, the AC worked great, safety box was included, bed & pillows were clean and comfortable, shower was good, and a TV was included. Would 100% recommend this hotel in Barcelona.
