Ciudad Condal - Barcelona

Ciudad Condal is the old name of the city of Barcelona. The place opened in 1997, is known for its large choice of beers and for its tapas.

Always full inside, nice wooden decoration, as well as outside where there is a typical terrace on the middle of Rambla Catalunya.

It's a very good address. At first look you might think that it's quite commercial (rapidity of the service, waiters waiting for you) but once you tried the tapas you understand that working people or connoisseurs are here to have a good lunch.

All kinds of tapas, desserts, fine wine and alcohol will reconcile you with a hard day working (to come) or hanging around.

After coming late on Friday n was told to wait for 50 minutes, we decided to come early on Monday night. Ordered goat meat, cod,small fish w peppers and mushrooms/asparagus. Cod was the best. Goat was surprisingly tender and the veges were a bit salty but fresh. 35 euros for 2 people.

@Dan
Hello Dan! Yes, the T-casual ticket (which allows 10 journeys) is NOT a multi-person ticket. It is valid for one person only, meaning it cannot be shared between two travelers. Each person would need their own T-casual ticket. If you want a multi-person option, you should go for the T-usual (unlimited travel for 30 days, personal) or the T-grup (70 journeys for multiple users). Let me know if you need more details!

@John
Hello John, Yes, you can board the Aerobus A2 at Plaça Universitat before it reaches Plaça Catalunya to head to the airport. The Aerobus service (line A2) is specifically designed to connect the city center with Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) efficiently. At Plaça Universitat, there is a designated Aerobus stop, so you can get on the bus there. Just make sure you are at the correct stop for the A2 line if you're heading to Terminal 2. If you’d like to check the route, schedule, and ticket information, you can visit this same page for Aerobus tickets. Let me know if you need more help planning your trip!

@alan
Hello alan, The closest Aerobús stop to Barcelona’s cruise port is Plaça Espanya. From there: Take the green metro line (L3) toward "Zona Universitària" and get off at Drassanes (two stops). Walk about 15 minutes to the World Trade Center (WTC). At the WTC, you’ll find a shuttle called the Cruise Bus that runs directly to the cruise terminals. The cost is approximately €4.50 round-trip. Best,

  3. Restaurant Ciudao Condal - Alasdair Fraser (3 Jul 2009 - 22:00)

    I wanted to go where the locals went to eat and to avoid the tourist eatieries with their laminated menus. I asked an attendant in a Chemist (these are far classier affairs in Europe than their UK counteparts) and she recommended Ciudao Condal.
    The tapas is superb with the most fantastic cured ham and the waiter was excellent at making delicious suggestions of what I should try from the menu. To summarise my experience, friendly staff (with good English), truly delicious food and bustling with locals having a good time. Go there! It's well worth the effort.

    I will not recomend this restaurant. Staff is very unhelpful and very rude.
