Somewhere Café

Coffee, brunch, lunch and more..

They began the adventure in Sant Cugat, and after catching the rhythm and arriving at cruising speed, Somewhere Cafe arrives in Barcelona. The new cafe, opened in August 2016, maintains its concept: to offer a place where to enjoy a good coffee and something more.

Based on the idea of many coffee shops around the world, that without losing the main objective, were converted to nice places where to eat, have breakfast or a nice brunch.
Somewhere Café starts in Barcelona adapting to its rhythm, in a centrally located area, close to Paseo de Gracia. You will find a meeting point, with a easy atmosphere, that will allow you to study, work or plan a tour.
The space is large and silent, with tables that can accommodate different numbers of individuals or groups around wooden tables. As we enter, we will find a bar on the left, exposing different breakfast options. The rest of the space is for tables.

We will find an extends a la carte of good choices. Entries like cheeses, hummus or "croquetas" ideal to share, or if alone, like an entry before a main plate. For that main plate, a curious format has been chosen: they are all based on the best specialties of different world areas: America with a hamburger; England with a fish and chips; Italy with a good pasta plate, or Vietnam with a Bao.

We chose the SuperFood Salad with Kale, spinaches and quinoa, finished with an a la plancha watermelon sweet taste. A nice and healthy portion that we complemented with a Plato Mediterraneo: grilled sword fish with "sanfaina". For a sweet dessert, we recommend the Somewhere Flan: a sweet glass, that even if called "flan", is a combination of textures and flavors of maracuja, yogurt, cream and marmalade, with a crunchy biscuit.
The dessert, like the majority of the dishes, can be adapted for gluten intolerance.

For a drink, we can find artisan beers and wines by the glass to get along any of the different dishes. Let yourself counsel...the well known Somelier Fran Centelles has chosen for you.

If you feel like having an earlier lunch or brunch, it is offered on weekends from 10 to 15:30.
At Somewhere Cafe we will always be offered fresh products and a healthy cuisine, done by the Chef Olly Melhuish, an 8 year cook for the Enoteca restaurant, a Michelin star.
For the coffee lovers, a freshly toasted grain has been selected.

@Dan
Hello Dan! Yes, the T-casual ticket (which allows 10 journeys) is NOT a multi-person ticket. It is valid for one person only, meaning it cannot be shared between two travelers. Each person would need their own T-casual ticket. If you want a multi-person option, you should go for the T-usual (unlimited travel for 30 days, personal) or the T-grup (70 journeys for multiple users). Let me know if you need more details!

@John
Hello John, Yes, you can board the Aerobus A2 at Plaça Universitat before it reaches Plaça Catalunya to head to the airport. The Aerobus service (line A2) is specifically designed to connect the city center with Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) efficiently. At Plaça Universitat, there is a designated Aerobus stop, so you can get on the bus there. Just make sure you are at the correct stop for the A2 line if you're heading to Terminal 2. If you’d like to check the route, schedule, and ticket information, you can visit this same page for Aerobus tickets. Let me know if you need more help planning your trip!

@alan
Hello alan, The closest Aerobús stop to Barcelona’s cruise port is Plaça Espanya. From there: Take the green metro line (L3) toward "Zona Universitària" and get off at Drassanes (two stops). Walk about 15 minutes to the World Trade Center (WTC). At the WTC, you’ll find a shuttle called the Cruise Bus that runs directly to the cruise terminals. The cost is approximately €4.50 round-trip. Best,
