Café Salambó
Café Salambó in Barcelona
In an old textile workshop, the Café Salambó is first of all a famous literary café known for its yearly prize: The Salambó Prize.
Huge rooms, café, pool table and good atmosphere.
But it is the restaurant which will hold your attention. Under the orders the young chef Isam Prados, known for its TV show on TV3, a definitely very gifted chef. We retain from his last chart a “Carpaccio tonyina amb vinagreta with the mostassa” - a delicious carpaccio of tuna at 13,50 € and a “Bacallà flamejat amb allioli damunt espinacs catalana” - cod with garlic mayonnaise and spinaches at 14,90 €. Very beautiful rice with lobster on sunday and one amusing calf's liver hamburger (13€50). Do not hesitate!

wonderfull staff - ingo (26 Sep 2011 - 09:30)
One evening we were looking for a place to eat. Being a warm night and Maartje wanted to smoke, we were looking for a place with outside seating. All the places were taken when we first walked by and into the Salambo Café / restaurant. The staff was exceptionally friendly and efficient, they made a table available outside in no time and proceded to dazzle us with good food and great service skills (along with speaking good english). What a pleasant dining experience. THANKS
