On the cathedral square, Bilbao-Berria is another terrace that is very appreciated by locals. Very colorful and delicious pintxos. Try also seafood. Just fine.

My husband and I visited Bilbao Berria on day 2 of our visit to Barcelona. The food was good, the bill was "daylight robbery". All items are skewered and one can refill ones plate. You are charged for the total number of wooden skewers you leave in a receptacle on your table. We had 8 skewers @ €1.75 each but were charged a staggering €30 which included 1 beer. My husband settled the bill, but I went to the person behind the counter and asked him politely to explain my bill.....how could 8 become 16? I was promptly reimbursed €14 with a profuse apology! Honest error? I think not!

@Dan
Hello Dan! Yes, the T-casual ticket (which allows 10 journeys) is NOT a multi-person ticket. It is valid for one person only, meaning it cannot be shared between two travelers. Each person would need their own T-casual ticket. If you want a multi-person option, you should go for the T-usual (unlimited travel for 30 days, personal) or the T-grup (70 journeys for multiple users). Let me know if you need more details!

Visit on different days?
If we buy one ticket for the three casas, do we have to visit them all on the same day?

@John
Hello John, Yes, you can board the Aerobus A2 at Plaça Universitat before it reaches Plaça Catalunya to head to the airport. The Aerobus service (line A2) is specifically designed to connect the city center with Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) efficiently. At Plaça Universitat, there is a designated Aerobus stop, so you can get on the bus there. Just make sure you are at the correct stop for the A2 line if you're heading to Terminal 2. If you’d like to check the route, schedule, and ticket information, you can visit this same page for Aerobus tickets. Let me know if you need more help planning your trip!

@alan
Hello alan, The closest Aerobús stop to Barcelona’s cruise port is Plaça Espanya. From there: Take the green metro line (L3) toward "Zona Universitària" and get off at Drassanes (two stops). Walk about 15 minutes to the World Trade Center (WTC). At the WTC, you’ll find a shuttle called the Cruise Bus that runs directly to the cruise terminals. The cost is approximately €4.50 round-trip. Best,

  2. Fantastic pintxos! - GB (25 Sep 2014 - 08:15)

    We visited the outdoor bar twice in beginning of september 2014 and were very
    pleased with the service especially by a young man with curly hair!
    Fantastic choice and variety of food!

  3. Rude and Agressive Service - Badly served customer (14 Apr 2014 - 09:45)

    Will not return!
    Will advise anybody not to visit!!
    We were bullied and saw other customers being badly serviced by this rude and very aggressive woman: the responsible / manager.
    When we asked for the complains register... They do not give it to me and replied that only the responsible / manager could do it: the rude and badly educated women that told me to wait and never gave me the register!!!

  4. bad service, good food - anonymous (1 Aug 2013 - 10:30)

    If you don't care about service, go here. Our server was actually mean to us, and pretty much only because one in our group was drunk (and actually she was being very sweet, only a bit stumbling). He even went as far as to yell at me for ordering a coffee, saying the table wasn't just for ordering coffee (and we had been asking for a menu). I'll never go back, I'm sure there's good food elsewhere.

    Posto molto bello, tapas fantastiche, prezzo giusto, personale disponibile, simpatico. Andate, è un dovere !!!

  8. Perfect Pinchos - Anna M (12 Feb 2007 - 15:41)

    Heving eaten pinchos in their motherland over in San Sebastien, I was delighted to find that Barcelona had got its own version. Bilbao Berria was absolutely spot on in both variety and value. I highly recommend the baby eels - like tiny fishy spaghetti!

    We ate upstairs in the bar - much more informal and atmospheric than the restaurant downstairs - and 4 of us ate for less than 25€ each, including plenty of decent house red.

  9. The best tapas ever - Tor Johnsen - website Enjoy Food & Travel (http://tojoh.blogspot.com) (31 Dec 2006 - 08:23)

    Highly recommendable, referring to the review on my website. Bilbao Berria serves maybe the best tapas / pinxtos I have tasted. Very good location. Low prices. Is a must if visiting Bilbao.

    Enjoy!

    Very nice place to spend an evening. Especially on the outside terrace. Tasty and fresh pintxos which you can pick from plates.

  11. Very good - Humberto Garcez - SP Brazil (18 May 2006 - 16:41)

    Very nice place! Marvelous food, in fact the best "tapas" restaurant that I've been in Spain.
