    Quimet & Quimet - Barcelona

Quimet & Quimet is a bar like no other. There are no tables, so you stand up and enjoy all sorts of little tapas, often from top-of-the-range tins: mussels, clams, prawns, but also cod in all its forms: a speciality.

You can also take your tins home with you.

There's also a cellar with hundreds of bottles on display all around you, to drink or take away. You can enjoy a wonderful homemade red vermut. In fact, it's for this drink of the gods that people come here.

It's well worth the diversions, even if it's now well known.

  3. no english menu - tony vee (23 Sep 2012 - 08:30)

Anyone who wants an English menu in this wonderful old world tapas restaurant should not even enter. You are in Spain!!! Want an English menu .... Go to Mc Donalds or stay in the USA

  4. No service - Mirva, Finland (11 Sep 2012 - 07:45)

I can only imagine what the food would have been like in Quimet&Quimet: the place was crowded (as we expected), the service/help was lousy (oh wait! we didn't get ANY!) and the menu is only in catalan. So 0 points from me and my sis about this place, can't recommend to a tourist who doesn't speak/understand the language.

  11. great tapas bar - quimet i quimet - les (7 Jun 2008 - 20:12)

I was just there in April and had a great lunch .. the Tapas are tremendous. I became a fan of Belgian beer which they served with the Tapas. I was wondering if anyone knew which brewery made the beer. I couldn't tell because the bar puts its own label on it.. Simply tremendous.

  13. Absolutely Incredible - Darren (4 Dec 2007 - 14:04)

Creating all those fantastic tapas varieties every night in such a small place is amazing. Tapas are incredible, the specially improted Belgian Beer is perfect. I'm not even going to attempt to comment about the range of wines and spirits! The Owners and staff add the the atmosphere with their smiles and humour.
This is a must goto bar when you are in Barcelona.
