Barcelona Hotel Colonial

A truly pleasant experience, our room was prepared for us at midday and the check-in process was smooth. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary city maps provided. The room itself was impeccably clean, well-furnished, and spacious. We appreciated the free use of the in-room safe, which only required obtaining a key at reception. The breakfast spread offered a satisfying variety of hot and cold items. The staff were consistently welcoming and accommodating during our entire stay. Additionally, the hotel's location was convenient with only a 10-15 minute walk to Las Ramblas and tourist bus stops, as well as easy access to the Metro. We would highly recommend this hotel!

🌟We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was 📍perfect, with a metro stop just steps away. The breakfast spread was 🍳plentiful and had something for everyone. Our room was 💫clean and spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday, and my husband even surprised me with a 🍾bottle of Cava and 🍫chocolates upon our arrival. I would 💯recommend this hotel for a perfect getaway.

👍Stayed at a hotel in the heart of Barcelona and had a great experience👌The room was comfy and spotless, with a 👍friendly staff and a 🍴delicious breakfast buffet. Conveniently located near many city sites and just a short 🚇metro ride to La Sagrada Familia (L4). However, the 👎pillows were not up to par. Others have mentioned this and I must agree. 💰Investing in better pillows would be 👌highly recommended.

This hotel located in the heart of Barcelona was a typical choice for those looking to spend a bit more for convenience. The cleanliness of the rooms was commendable, but the furniture definitely showed its age with chipped brown pieces from the 90s. While the beds were comfortable, the pillows were flat and resembled pancakes. The staff were accommodating and the check-in process was relatively quick. However, don't expect air conditioning even in December as it was advertised but turned off. It was a disappointment considering the lack of fans in the room as well. Another let down was the absence of tea or coffee facilities, which could have easily replaced the low-quality toiletries provided. As a four-star hotel, it's common for guests to bring their own toiletries and expect a hot drink in the morning. Sadly, it seems like the hotel is trying to cut corners at the expense of their customers.

Starting with the negatives, I was disappointed to find that there was no coffee or tea provided with the kettle in the room 🙄 Why have a kettle if not for a warm drink? Also, the air conditioning was non-existent in the rooms which made for uncomfortable evenings and resulted in me having to sleep with the door open. 😩 Another downside was the lack of baby changing facilities in the hotel bathrooms. It would have been a nice touch to have a folding table in the rooms for this. 💩 On a positive note, the front desk staff were excellent and very helpful 👍 The breakfast buffet had a great variety and the service was top-notch. 👌 The rooms themselves were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again. 😊
