This hotel was a great choice for our trip to Barcelona, as it was conveniently located near the gothic quarter and las ramblas. The check-in process was smooth and the staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and informative. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary glass of cava upon arrival. The hotel was well-maintained and the staff were extremely friendly. We took advantage of the free coffee and cake station between 1pm and 8pm on a couple of afternoons and enjoyed bringing them up to the open courtyard on the first floor. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and even had a small fridge. We would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it to our friends. The location was perfect for us during our visit to the gothic quarter Christmas market, and there were plenty of restaurants and cafes in the nearby square. We particularly enjoyed our meals at Taverna del Bisbe and even made multiple visits. We also took a trip to the port and stopped by the beach and parc cuitadella on our way back. One morning, we even walked 40 minutes to the Sagrada Família and stopped for breakfast on the way. At the top of las ramblas, there is a stop for the Barcelona Busturistic tour bus, which was convenient for us to visit other attractions further away. Overall, the location was ideal for reaching all the places we wanted to see. We will definitely be returning and thank the staff for a wonderful stay. We would also recommend using Welcome pickups for transportation to and from the airport, which added to the overall relaxing experience.
During our recent trip to Barcelona, we had the pleasure of staying for 4 nights at a hotel in the Gothic Quarter. The location was fantastic, within walking distance of the Liceu Metro station on La Rambla and not far from Placa Catalunya, where we could catch the bus to and from the airport. The Gothic Quarter itself was a fascinating area, with plenty of options for bars and restaurants. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed with the accommodation. It was beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The breakfast choices were plentiful, with a great selection of food and drinks. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to assist us with our needs. If given the opportunity, we would definitely choose to stay here again.
The bed was quite comfortable and the room was a decent size and clean. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. However, we had requested for the hotel to book a taxi for our airport transfer at 9am. We were informed that the taxi had arrived, but to our surprise, it had actually arrived at 8:30am and we were charged €13 before even leaving. We expressed our concern and the taxi driver assured us that he would sort it out. But upon reaching the airport, we were charged an extra €10 and told that we had received a discount of €8.
We arrived for a four night stay, booked through Jet2 holidays. I requested a room with a window, before our stay, as I knew some only had skylights, which was kindly granted. Unfortunately, the only view from the window was a brick wall. The room was cramped and the bathroom was even smaller, making it almost impossible to put the minimum amount of things out. However, cleanliness was maintained and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Whilst breakfast was included, the quality and variety of items could’ve been improved. The hotel is situated in a great spot in the Gothic area, easily allowing access to public transport links. The Aerobus to and from the airport was accessible through a 10-15 minute walk. I do recommend this establishment, but make sure to choose the correct room to meet your needs.
This hotel located in the centre of Barcelona's Gothic area was great. A few minutes' walk from La Ramblas and with plenty of places to eat and transport links nearby, it was perfect for our stay. We had a great room on the second floor with a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The room was kept clean and topped up with all the essentials. Furthermore, we had no issues with noise and actually found the sound of the city quite pleasant. The staff were so friendly and even wished me a happy birthday - definitely made us want to return! Highly recommended!
