💰🏨 Enjoyed my stay at this hotel! It was very comfortable and clean with a delicious continental breakfast every morning. The location was 👌, close to popular areas like the Ramblas and Gothic Quarter, as well as the Marina and many other main attractions in Barcelona. Plus, it was conveniently close to the metro, buses, and taxis. Perfect for anyone looking to explore Barcelona on a budget. Highly 🙌!
I had an excellent experience at this hotel in Barcelona. The cleanliness was impressive and the staff was incredibly friendly. The amenities provided were top-notch, with a secure safe and even a mini refrigerator in the room. The price was reasonable and the room was well-furnished. The breakfast was also satisfying and the location was ideal, being just a stone's throw away from La Rambla for convenient shopping and sightseeing. Getting around on a bike or on foot was easy, as everything was within close proximity.
Located in the heart of the gothic quarter, this budget hotel is just a step above a hostel. While it offers a good deal for its price, there were a few inconveniences during our stay. Taxis are hesitant to drop off guests on the street where the hotel is situated, so we had to drag our luggage down the stone streets for about half to one block depending on where the taxi stopped. Check-in was supposed to be at 2, but when we arrived at 2:30, there seemed to be a delay and the lobby was filled with people waiting for their rooms. There was no secure place to leave our luggage, and after about 20 minutes of waiting, we were informed that our room would be ready in 5 minutes. However, it took an additional 10 minutes before we were able to check in, while other guests were still waiting. The room itself was clean and recently renovated, but it was quite small with twin beds and a small desk. Although it was enough for our one-night stay, it may not be ideal for a longer visit. Breakfast was included in our stay, but it was a simple spread of toast, donuts, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and juice. One thing to note is that there are two steps immediately upon entering the hotel, so be careful when carrying heavy luggage. Overall, our stay was satisfactory given the location and price of the hotel.
It was supposed to be a 1 star hotel, but according to the reviews, it didn't sound too bad. When we arrived, the situation wasn't looking great, as the receptionist seemed to be taking bookings for time blocks. The room was alright, it had been improved a bit, but the bathroom hadn't been touched yet, so I decided not to shower during our one night stay. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, like camp beds. I'm sure I won't go back again.
I recently stayed at Hotel Cantón while on a Mediterranean cruise. Located mere minutes away from the port, it was convenient to get out and explore the wonderful sights of Barcelona. I especially appreciated the immediate access to many restaurants, bars, bakeries and a laundromat. I found the room to be very clean and secure, with a safe for added peace of mind. Best of all, I was able to easily explore nearby attractions such as the beach, La Rambla and Plaça Reial, all within walking distance. The Hop on Hop off tour bus was also very close. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Reasonable prices combined with the great location make this an excellent choice of accommodation. I would highly recommend Hotel Cantón and look forward to staying there again in the future.
