This hotel in a high-end area was ideal for our brief family getaway. The staff provided exceptional service and went out of their way to accommodate our request for a change in our booking. Although there was some noise from the bustling street at night, it added to the lively atmosphere.
👍 Stayed here for one night in beautiful Barcelona! The location was perfect, close to the top of Diagonal with lots to see and do. Our room was spacious and even had a balcony overlooking the city. The noise was no match for the soundproof windows 🤫 and the bed was super cozy 😴 with charging ports right next to the bedside! The bathroom had all the essentials, although no cute mini bottles 💔. The shower had great water pressure and thankfully, no cleaning needed! The only downside was the broken basin, which looked like it had been that way for years 🚫. While we understand the impact of the pandemic, a simple basin swap would have been appreciated at a 💰 4-star hotel with a hefty price tag. On the bright side, breakfast was a delicious surprise 🍴 with plenty of local options!
I had a reservation at the Wilson Boutique Hotel in Barcelona and was disappointed to not be able to get in touch with the staff. Despite numerous attempts to reach out, I never received a response. It is important for a hotel to be able to easily communicate with guests, especially those from abroad.
The Wilson Boutique Hotel was alright in terms of location, but that's about it. The reception staff were rather uninterested, when I stopped in for my stay, especially the night desk person. Cleaning staff were especially noisy, always starting around 8am, with no thought for sleeping guests. No amenities either, like no bar, restaurant, room service, or coffee set in the room. The breakfast was only open for two hours and was quite affordable, but still. The streets were noisy all day and night, never any silence. To top it off, the elevator was incredibly slow, making it almost worse than the stairs. All-in-all, this place was definitely not worthy of the 4* rating.
