Merkado is the Gastrobar of the 5 star Melia Sky hotel in Barcelona. Located in the Glòries area, where the newest skyscrapers in the city meet, Merkado has direct access from the street or the hotel itself. Very spacious and with a colorful and elegant decoration, its public is varied. We meet people from the neighborhood who mix with guests and workers from the area who come to taste their menu.

A daily menu at a price of 15 euros where you can choose from a variety of 5 first 5 seconds and 5 desserts, including drink, limited to a glass of wine water or soda, and coffee.

The alternatives that Merkado offers are a simple but tasty cuisine, not missing some exotic ingredients like the parsnip that we found in the first dish that we chose, an original cream of carrot with coconut. But we also saw that they take advantage of the seasonal and local products like the tempura calçots with romesco. In the second course chosen, hake with green asparagus and cream of black garlic, a good and healthy combination that allows us to continue with the rest of the day. No frieds or sauces loaded with fats that can make our digestion a little heavier. The desserts are homemade and all were a temptation.

The daily menu in Merkado has a good price. Very tight if we consider that we speak of a hotel of superior category. But it is true that the same hotel has more restaurants with a higher level. In this case, Merkado is dedicated to day to day. If you are looking for a place in the area to eat well, healthy and cheap, without giving up the taste and with good service, Merkado is a good choice

@Dan
Hello Dan! Yes, the T-casual ticket (which allows 10 journeys) is NOT a multi-person ticket. It is valid for one person only, meaning it cannot be shared between two travelers. Each person would need their own T-casual ticket. If you want a multi-person option, you should go for the T-usual (unlimited travel for 30 days, personal) or the T-grup (70 journeys for multiple users). Let me know if you need more details!

@John
Hello John, Yes, you can board the Aerobus A2 at Plaça Universitat before it reaches Plaça Catalunya to head to the airport. The Aerobus service (line A2) is specifically designed to connect the city center with Barcelona-El Prat Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) efficiently. At Plaça Universitat, there is a designated Aerobus stop, so you can get on the bus there. Just make sure you are at the correct stop for the A2 line if you're heading to Terminal 2. If you’d like to check the route, schedule, and ticket information, you can visit this same page for Aerobus tickets. Let me know if you need more help planning your trip!

@alan
Hello alan, The closest Aerobús stop to Barcelona’s cruise port is Plaça Espanya. From there: Take the green metro line (L3) toward "Zona Universitària" and get off at Drassanes (two stops). Walk about 15 minutes to the World Trade Center (WTC). At the WTC, you’ll find a shuttle called the Cruise Bus that runs directly to the cruise terminals. The cost is approximately €4.50 round-trip. Best,
