Yes, you can visit the Sagrada Família for free, but only on special occasions. The Sagrada Família organizes open days with free entrance. This is the case, for example, during the festivities of La Mercè in September. These open days are announced on the Sagrada Família website. You have to register to take advantage of them.
Other people can get free tickets all year round if they register in advance and depending on availability.
This includes the following people:

- the unemployed (only on Wednesdays from 2 pm)
