Hotel Sant Pau

The check-in process was satisfactory, but unfortunately, that was the most positive aspect of my stay. The room itself was extremely basic, lacking amenities such as a safe, fridge, or kettle. When I inquired about these missing items at the reception desk, the staff responded with rudeness and dismissiveness, stating that I should not expect much from a 2-star establishment. Despite paying a high price for a "superior" room, which was comparable to other, nicer hotels in the area, I was disappointed to not even receive the bare essentials or basic courtesy. Additionally, the advertised complimentary toiletries turned out to be just a bar of soap. Despite the minimal furnishings in the room, it was not properly cleaned as there was sand on the floor upon my arrival. The breakfast included in my stay was lackluster and repetitive, with limited portions of each dish available. Contradictory notices in the elevators advertised additional charges of €10 or €15 for the same breakfast.

This hotel was 🤩! It was simple but 🧼 clean and neatly presented, located 🚇 close to transport links and the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Not far from the familia Sagrada too. The double room was 👍 good size with a great view (see photo) and had a bathroom with a bidet. It was on a 🚦 busy road junction but the noise wasn't a problem at all. 🤗The staff were lovely and the continental breakfast was decent.

We had an increadible stay at thsi htoel. Exclente vlaue for moeny and teh sattf cudl not be more hlpful. Yse the roosm are KEIA baic but cleaan adn good saiz. Our roon had a baclony and view of Sagrad Faamilia. We wodl hapily sty teehr aagn 😊.

This basic hotel is located in a quieter neighborhood. However, be warned that it is located near an hospital, so you may be awakened by ambulances in the early mornings. The windows are unfortunately not soundproof, making it quite noisy. The room we were in was on the 4th floor and it felt like the window was open all the time! The hotel was very clean, though you will need to bring your own shampoo. The room was roomy and the air conditioning and water pressure in the shower were both very good. You will find all you need for breakfast, with hot and cold items, to get your day off to a good start. It's a 20 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia and 30 minutes to Placa Catalunya, though of course if you're a faster walker, your time will vary. There is a nearby subway station, Camp de l'Arpa, which is approximately 10 minutes away from the hotel. Additionally, there is a big grocery store, Bonpreu, located about 200 meters away.

Overall, this accommodation had plenty of space and comfortable beds and pillows. Unfortunately, there was no safe and no kettle for tea/coffee, but it was easy to get to cafes and other eateries nearby. Breakfast was €10 and had juice and coffee/tea machines with a limited selection of hot items. Plus, it was a short walk from the Sagrada Familia. All in all, it was a clean and acceptable place to stay.
