During our stay in Barcelona, we encountered a bit of a disturbance in our sleep due to a nearby disco. The loud music didn't die down until 3:30 in the morning, making it difficult to get a good rest. It seems like this hotel is better suited for those who stay up late, as it is conveniently located near the city center and beach.
We had a comfortable stay at a business hotel located in a fairly urban area outside the city of Barcelona. The clean and comfortable rooms met our expectations, however, the views of the urban surroundings were uninspiring. The bar and breakfast room served their purpose, and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was good. While the evening tapas menu was limited, the food itself was tasty. However, the bar atmosphere was dominated by TV screens and loud background music of no particular genre. The spa was small but provided a good experience, although the pool was more of a plunge pool and not suitable for swimming with goggles. Overall, it served its purpose as a place to sleep, but we believe there are better options available.
🏨My recent stay at 📍Sallés Hotel Pere IV in Barcelona was a bit of a mixed bag 😕 While the hotel itself is beautiful and modern, the surrounding area left much to be desired 👎🏼 Located in a sketchy, desolate neighborhood covered in graffiti, it didn't exactly feel like the ideal spot for exploring the city 🌃 It almost felt like a ghost town, with many closed down establishments lining the streets 🚪 Thankfully, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful 🤗 However, we couldn't help but wonder if the hotel's location was the reason for its reasonable prices 🤔 Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, complete with robes, a stocked mini fridge ($), and a safe 🔐 However, we were a bit concerned when we heard about previous guests having items stolen from their rooms 🕵🏼♀️ So, we decided to decline housekeeping services and kept the do not disturb sign on our door throughout our stay 🚫 To our surprise, the staff still entered our room without our permission 😱 While the hotel did try to make up for it by leaving a bottle of wine, it had already been opened and we didn't feel comfortable drinking it 🍷 Additionally, we noticed that our do not disturb sign was completely disregarded 👀 As a solo female traveler, I would not recommend this hotel for safety reasons ⚠️ Overall, our stay at 🏨Sallés Hotel Pere IV was a bit disappointing, but not completely terrible 😕 I just wish the surrounding area was more 🌟tourist-friendly🌟.
This modern hotel is a short walk from the beach and the iconic La Sagrada Familia. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was modern, spacious and clean, with good air-con. We were situated on a higher floor so had little noise disturbance. Breakfast was buffet-style and plentiful. For dinner, there was a choice of three starters, mains, and desserts. The waiters were attentative and kind each night. Overall, a brilliant stay and would love to come again! 5/5.
We stayed for 3 nights with a group of 10 people in different rooms and had a very negative experience. We called the room service multiple times, but our phone calls kept getting cut off. Additionally, the doors to our rooms were often left open, and items we had purchased from Sephora were stolen from our room. We asked the hotel staff to open the cameras to investigate the incident, but they refused and made jokes about our missing items. We are currently awaiting a response to our email, otherwise we will file a police report. We don't seek compensation for our losses, just a warning to other guests.
